The PAC C2R-CHY is a radio replacement module interface for many 2004+Chrysler, DODGE and Jeep vehicles with Factory Radio models REF, REC, RAQ or RAK.It allows for easy connection of an aftermarket radio or navigation system tomany vehicles. The interface provides 12 volt accessory output, Reverse signal,Park light Signal, Vehicle Speed Signal (VSS) and Parking brake output. TheC2R-CHY auto detects the factory amplifier in the vehicle and turns it on viathe C2R-CHY's remote input wire (if equipped).This product also can be interfaced with a SWI-CAN interface and either theSWI-X, SWI-ALP or SWI-PS or SWI-ECL to use the steering wheel controls of yournew car with your new radio. Please note: You need BOTH a SWI-CAN and a SWI-X,SWI-ALP, SWI-PS or SWI-ECL. Works and allows you to use the factory amplifier(Boston Acoustic System). The factory amp accepts 2 channel audio only. Theamplifier fading is controlled by data communication from the factory radio.Therefore the aftermarket radio will not have the capability to control theamplifier. Please connect the front outputs of the aftermarket radio to the rearinputs of the 22 pin connector. This will allow the navigation unit voiceprompts to be heard. The rear speaker outputs of the radio are not used.
